Aida’s senior session on Boca Grande island was absolutely beautiful from start to finish! Her and her family are from Michigan but have traveled to the Southwest Florida area for soo many years! It was the perfect idea to capture her senior photos on one of their visits!
It’s been close to a year but the beaches of Bonita & Estero, where they visit, are still in recovery. I suggested they come closer to my area of Boca Grande. I sent them the location guide that include all the options Boca Grande offers and they immediately said yes!!
Sometimes doing a late summer senior session in August or September can be a little nerve-wracking in the South…but we had BEAUTIFUL weather! We thankfully dodge another hurricane earlier this week! It was not too hot, and no surprise thunderstorms! Thankfully Hurricane Idalia took those with her! It was a win all around!
Aida wanted to capture a lot of the beautiful beach & tropical scenery you can’t find up north in Michigan! We walked around so many of my favorite spots, and the gulf breeze was such a nice break from the heat. We even got to utilize the shipwrecked sail boat from Hurricane Ian that was pushed further into the sand by Idalia! It made the perfect backdrop for her coastal senior session!
Aida: Thank you so much for choosing me to capture your senior portraits! Enjoy scrolling through some of my favorites! You’ll be receiving a sneak gallery of these images and more soon! <3
I was shocked when Aida & her mom told me that she did her own make-up in the hour long car ride!! Her make-up was on point the entire time!
Between the light house, sailboat, florals, beaches her senior session was jam packed with the soooo much variety!! That’s what I love about working on Boca Grande! Despite all this island has been through, it’s beauty still shines through.
It’s amazing how lighting changes & positioning can completely change the look of a group of photos from the same location!
As I soon as I saw this image, I thought I was looking at the next Ralph Lauren model & campaign! How gorgeous is Aida?
